That's really incredibly helpful, thank you! Regarding your cool text elements, do you use After Effects for that? I'm just getting started, and will keep your advice in mind for my checklist I'm still fine-tuning.

I have been marking the best shot for some time now – it's really handy. Test run is also a good idea. I bought RODE GO videomic which is always on when plugged. Of course I have forgotten to plug it.

Incredible info!!! I'm a beginner at this whole video and editing thing and your video was so clear and straight forward. Very easy to understand and it wasn't overwhelming at all.Thank you so much! If I may,…— I am a visual learner and am totally ADD so I did have to take a couple breaks and do something else for a couple of minutes so when I came back to your video I was back to being engaged. You are a good looking man with a really clear-calming and comforting voice so after a while I caught my thoughts wandering –this guy seems like such a great person, he probably comes from a great family, it's amazing how professional yet relaxed and relatable he is. How does he talk without saying "umm" all the time – I gotta learn how to do that. I like the lamp he has in the back ground – What does his shirt say? —…….hence the breaks to help me refocus. Maybe a little variation in voice pitch and movement, just a thought. Thanks again, quality and info are great!

  • Reply Martin N January 25, 2017 at 10:34 am

Great video. But why would do the color correction at the end of the process?

I mean if I have a lot of B roll and I have to decide which camera angle to be shown, at the end of my editing my timelime looks like a mess and applying color correction at that point is much more difficult than at the beginning.

    So why not at beginning?

Thank you for this video. I use a Macbook Air so I have limited storage. Will it make a difference (in terms of speed software editing) if I import my files onto my Macbook Air directly or onto an external Hardisk? Will the software be disrupted if I move the location of these files just like it happens on Lightroom?

  • Reply Daniel Kwan June 29, 2017 at 6:27 am
