ENTP Personality Description

September 11, 2019

bjbjBrBr Hi this is Scott and in this video
I m gonna be talking about the ENTP Description according to Myers Briggs Personality Typing.
Alright for the ENTP, to understand them first you ll gonna need to know their four main
functions. And for the ENTP, their first function is Extraverted Intuition or Ne. And basically,
this is how they perceive the world. They kind of can take in multiple different possibilities.
They re very kind of objective about how they view things and like to see stuff from everyone
s point of view. And this can help them really like see the big picture and kinda make connections
that other people might not be able to comprehend as quickly. So, yeah, that s Extraverted Intuition.
That also kinda gives them a little bit of, you know, off beat off the wall sense of humor.
So, yeah, that s that. Next is Introverted Thinking or Ti. And that s basically, this
is more internal and this is how they deal with stuff. It s logically and they wanted
stuff to make sense. So they constantly like sorting out the environment and kinda, you
know, figuring out what make sense and piece it all together and kinda forming like a web
or a framework in their head of how everything works. And since this is Introverted, it s
a little difficult for them to explain to other people so while they form all those
logical map in their head it might be difficult to explain to other people. So, yeah, that
s Introverted Thinking. And, their third function is Extraverted Feeling or Fe. Now, this is
developed a little bit later in the ENTP s life. And it s, deals with emotions, empathy
and understanding people and as they get over they kind of become better at, you know, understanding
this, you know, emotions of other people. So, you know, that could go long way which
is kind of developing like a charismatic personality also, you know, kind of knowing the right
things to say and what to do and to get the reaction that they want at the people. So,
yeah, that s Extraverted Feeling. And their fourth function is Introverted Sensing or
Si. And now, this is something that s never really completely developed in the ENTP or
should I say, it never becomes a strength for ENTP but they do have it. Basically, what
it is, is it deals with the past and remembering things and, you know, just kind of routine
and just norms and society and everything like that just kinda understanding how things
work, how things have always been and that way. But you could see that this kinda conflicts
with them, always wanting to try something new. It wants to deal with, yeah, you know,
they always wanna see something new. So, it kinda gets turn off by routine so those two
are kinda conflict with each other at times. And Introverted Sensing can show up a bit
more when they are stressed out and I ll talk about that a little bit later. Alright. We
go on to the ENTP Strengths. Alright, so, one of the strengths of the ENTP is that they
re very enthusiastic and energetic. And they can also be charismatic and have a magnetic
type of personality. So, you know, they could be a good leader in this way kinda, you know,
go about promoting change and stuff like that. So, yeah, and they re also very interested
in self improvement and constantly, you know, getting better than not really satisfied with
staying stagnant, staying in the way they are. So, they can always turn and find ways
to make themselves a better person and grow. They re also great at understanding the big
picture. They can understand, you know, understand maybe difficult concepts that other people
have trouble grasping and they can kinda just, you know, just pick up on that pretty easily
and it comes naturally to them. So, while every type has their strengths obviously they
also have some weaknesses. Couple weaknesses of the ENTP is that while they re constantly
seeking change could be a good thing it could also cause problems with relationships. You
know, they could get bored of relationship and want to move on to something new or you
know, a friend that is no longer helping them, you know, grow as a person or no longer interest
to them could kind of, you know, just brush them aside and, you know, kind of cause the
relationship to deteriorate. So, they also can give up on a project once they lose enthusiasm
for it. If something s going really well and it s about to be complete and, you know, but
ENTP could have problem keeping focus on that and keeping their attention on that and could
cause them to lose their enthusiasm and move on to something new right before they finish
something which obviously can cause some problems. ENTP s are known also to sometimes take unnecessary
risks including financial ones just for the fact that, you know, they could possibly get
bored and, you know, maybe become over confident with the situation and wanted to take their
risk. Yeah, but sometimes that can backfire on them. The ENTP s like to debate and question
everything and kinda do this in fun just to figure out the world. While they re doing
this with others it could seem that arguing or kind of, you know, being argumentative
or, you know, accusing somebody of something when they re just really trying to figure
something out. So that could cause some problems in relationships or dealing with other people.
And also for ENTP when they are under stress their shadow functions could come out which
is that Introverted Sensing that I talked about. Can cause them to become overwhelmed
by unimportant details, you know, they could just see, they re more of a big picture thinker
and they could get bug down by details and just those, you know, specific details surrounding
them that they need to, you know, get done or take care of. They could just kind of overwhelm
them and not make them, you know, kinda shut down and just feel like, you know, they can
be at their best that wanting to do deal with the big picture when they have to deal with
day to day task. So, that s something to look out for the ENTP. And they could also become
very sensitive to criticism. They could, when they re stressed out it may become uncharacteristic
of them to, you know, be very respond emotionally to situations and, you know, kinda gets upset
about that. And also, the ENTP on stress can do things to excess whether it s drinking
over eating, you know, exercising or anything that, you know, just a repetitive task or
behavior that, you know, might not be healthy but just when they re under stress it could
be a hard habit to break. So, yeah, that s the ENTP. And also, I have some reports on
the ENTP growth as well as jobs and careers for ENTP s. So, yeah, I d encourage you to
go ahead and visit personalitygrowth.com/entp. And I ll show you more about that. And also
if you like this video, I d ask you to please like it and subscribe to this page coz I ll
be making a bunch new videos in the future. And also, if you got any questions or anything
just go ahead and post in the comments below. I ll try answering those. Also, if it s a
good enough question or a not good enough question I mean like if it s a significant
one that quite few people are asking I ll probably make a video of that. Yeah, so just
looking forward to hearing from you. h Vj [email protected] hnW/ hngl :p1Q [Content_Types].xml Iw},

Is it because the movie goes much faster in the mind than in the actual life that we can't be patient in living with people? It's like like reading vs listening. There's one way to keep an ENTP interested though; give him what he seeks, play with him.

  • Reply kroooassant January 15, 2013 at 6:03 am

Because languages are universal to human beens each individuals finds its own way to cope with this world of symbols. ENTP seeks to learn always more, to survive by being able to adapt to any situation. There are two ways to learn, practice and theory but one way or the other you can't improve if you are nor challenged. If doing war is too costly it might be judicious to opt for tearing apart your opponent in a scrabble game.

Dude, that inner web you refer to is spot on. I usually refer to it as my inner-matrix. Facts and concepts have a spacial relationship as their representation in my head.

I am an ENTP and I agree with most of what was said here but there was the statement made , MAY BECOME OVERWHELM MED BY UNIMPORTANT DETAILS . That is not correct , I CHOOSE NOT TO DEAL WITH UNIMPORTANT DETAILS Because they are unimportant and a waste of time , lets get your facts strait buster . He He Happy New Year

  • Reply Personality Growth March 7, 2013 at 9:26 am

Haha well you gotta deal with them sometime 😛 Happy New Year to you too Donald.

I am an entp and I agree with this. I actually do get bogged down with small details pertaining to my business. I tend to be a perfectionist in areas where others don't give a shit….but i just can't deal with producing a sub standard product. But little things like balancing the check book …… well I leave that to my wife. Lol. I don't care about superficial details, like clothing fads.

I'm an ENTP, and "Devils advocate" is what I would sum it up as.

  • Reply asydcer March 5, 2015 at 11:46 am

Nice, but you should improve fluency of your speech and avoid overusing of parasitic words and/or connections (e.g. repeating ,,you know…"). For me, as non-native and rather poor listener, it was very disturbing.

When I discovered I that am an ENTP, I read a lot of articles on ENTPs and even the ones like "What inspires each personality type". I my mind got blown when I read the article on the spirit animal of each type, which for us is the fox!….I've always identified as a fox, so it was amazing to see that at least one other person saw it too.

i took an mbti prof. Test and came out ENTP , at least Called an entp by MBTI pros I met for my job, I told them I read up very little on the subject , only Wikipedia , and continued to tell them this whole mbti thing seems like an interesting exercise in futility and a pseudo-science considering how complex personality is and everyone being a mix of types and peoples personality is not always static, it changes with age, anyway after I said all this they looked at eachother and said I was probably right, but for what it's worth my rant to them inadvertently reinforced my entp test results.

I am an ENTP but I've never felt like any career I've held was rewarding enough. Last 5 years, I've been a truck driver, hated it and need ideas on where I should set my goals?
Any ENTPs have any insights on where I could go?

I feel this was solely made on the night of his exam that he had to make a power point presentation and talk about ENTP. This guy is CLEARLY an ENTP and he obviously ACED the fuck out of this exam perfectly, while explaining it. hahahahaah #ENTP4LIFE

I'm an ENTP. I like mental sparring and debates and will sometimes defend a position I don't actually believe just for the mental stimulation. I'm an R.N. but I originally wanted to be a lawyer. Oh well… I make it work for me.

    Well … Umm … Pause … You Know .. Like… Umm … Pause
Every time you say one of these words you risk losing your audience. If you say one of these words and it is accompanied by a pause, you will definitely lose your audience. Props for trying, but you could use some training. Speech courses in college are a dime a dozen and you would definitely benefit from it.

Yeah, there are no free reports on that page. There's not a whole lot of anything on that page. A lot of incomplete coding amidst a few halfway useful blurbs about cognitive functions but beyond that, it's kind of … barren and useless.

  • Reply Tori Lyn September 1, 2019 at 2:26 am

Do ENTPs get "analysis paralysis"? You talked about being bogged down by details when stressed, but can that happen when not stressed as well? If not, which of the types could that happen to?
