The number one reason why germans drive so fast is because there are no streetlights on the autobahn and must make it home before sunset.

At least try and put your foot down and go fast. This is Germany, not Australia, it’s an unique experience being able to go over 200km/h on a highway

  • Reply Nika May 28, 2019 at 2:42 pm

On the 'Autobahn' you have to drive something about 120 km/h but you can drive faster.

  • Reply John Doe May 31, 2019 at 9:31 am

Surprised how such an entry level Benz with quite basic features impressed some Australian guys. No one will even notice that thing or give it a look on South African roads!!! It's just a sad B class made for grocery shopping! And you driving 120km/h was surely frustrating for other road users. Grrr!!!

In Australia people drive in middle lane.
    Inside lane to overtake
    Outside lane to go slower.
Car rental should have told them to right lane.

  • Reply FunnyAccent1 July 8, 2019 at 9:41 pm

The best I ever did in a Mercedes (SL) was 125MPH (201+km/h) on a trip to Switzerland many years ago. Now I'm stuck at 55MPH in Catifornia. Purrs & meows from Cat Ivan & dad =^.^=

  • Reply fellpower July 9, 2019 at 11:46 am

LOOOOOL, that was not fast. Normally no german is thinking about the law. there driving as they want. i know that, because im german….nobody cares about traffic laws

  • Reply Draco Arts July 9, 2019 at 12:50 pm

At some parts of the Autobahn you basically go as fast as you want… yes… unfortunatelly sometimes…

But timbered houses really aren't this 'german' anymore because we have them mostly in rural regions…

  • Reply MadeByLisa July 17, 2019 at 8:12 pm

In Germany we have no speed Limits.. you can drive faster. Just when there is a sign to drive 80 or 100 or 120.. when there is no sign you can drive 250 if you want 😂

  • Reply Busch Briegel August 8, 2019 at 10:24 am

Drive right and learn to eat "Berliner Kreppel". Otherwise nice video.

Tip for the Berliner. At the edge there is a hole in which the filling was injected. Bite here first and chew your way through to the filling. Then enjoy the rest with a cup of good coffee.

And never, ever, ever eat a Berliner (Kreppel, Krapfen) for carnival or New Year. Here (in some regions in Germany) they like to fill with spicy mustard. This is not meant as a special flavour but as a joke. Can even happen to you at a baker's. You order some doughnuts stuffed with plum puree and you might get one stuffed with mustard.

For the rest of the year, however, this is not to be feared.

Oh yes and again, ALWAYS RIGHT DRIVING in Germany! Non-observance can become really expensive!

Berlin, Dresden and many other german cities were bombed, also after the war was official over.
The britains used napalm against civilists in Dresden (Hellfire).
There are so many lies about World War 1 and World War 2 you can't even imagine.

If you like pretty streets, try Ahrweiler. One street close to the town wall is very cute. The town wall itself offers fascinating views, too.

ehm.. This was just coincidence. These reasons did not counted for many other towns. Just imagine the historic Potsdam was bombed on 14th april '45 (yes this late), it had no industry too. The RAF just had the order to destroy German culture. Frankfurt is just a lucky individual case.
