Hello Friends, In my first video effective time management Part-1, I told you 3 rules from Brian Tracy’s Book Eat That Frog for time management and overcome procrastination. If you have not seen that video click on the above i button to see. Today I will explain remaining 7 points from this book. So Let’s begin Rule No.4: Use the ABCDE method continually Author suggests a powerful priority setting technique that you can use every single day This technique is so simple and effective that it can, all by itself, make you one of the most efficient and effective people in your field. Start with a list of everything you have to do for the coming day. small and big task and write it on paper You then place an A, B, C, D, or E next to each item on your list like very important task assigned as ‘A’ next important task as ‘B’ and like wise C,D,E… The key to making this ABCDE Method work is for you to now discipline yourself to start immediately on A task and then stay at it until it is complete. And then according to priority B task then C task then D task and at last E task If you have more than one A task, you prioritise these tasks by writing “A– 1,” “A–2,” “A–3,”etc Rule No.5: Focus on key result areas A key result area is defined as something for which you are completely responsible If you don’t do it, it doesn’t get done. The starting point of high performance for you to identify the key result areas of your work. Once you have determined, the second step is for you to grade yourself on a scale of one to ten in each of those areas. (with one being the lowest and ten being the highest) From here you can know Where are you strong and where are you weak? Rule No.6: Apply the law of three. Here Author discussed about 3 laws. 1st Law-The quick list method Author says In thirty seconds, write down your three most important goals in life right now Your subconscious mind will go into a form of “hyperdrive” and your three most important goals should pop out onto the paper 2nd Law-Work all the time you work Author says, When you go to work, put your head down and work the whole time. Don’t waste time Every minute that you spend in idle chitchat with co-workers in that place work to complete your job. 3rd Law- Balance is not an option Author says, You need balance between your work and your personal life But At the same time, if you work efficiently then you can enjoy a higher quality of life at home with your family. Rule No.7: Prepare thoroughly before you begin Any work before you start you must prepare yourself like an archer with an arrow pulled back taut in the bow like that You just need one small mental push to get started on your highest value tasks Rule No.8: Take it one oil barrel at a time. To overcome procrastination One of the best ways is to your mind off the huge task in front of you and focus on a single action that you can take. One step at a time. Rule No.9: Put the pressure on yourself Only 2% people without any supervision can work completely We call them as leaders. This is the kind of person you are meant to be and that you can be, You need to reach your full potential For that you need to form the habit of putting the pressure on yourself and not waiting for someone else to come along and do it for you. For examples: You need to select your own task and complete it according to your priority. Rule No.10: Motivate yourself into action To keep yourself motivated, you must resolve to become a complete optimist Reactions of the people and situations around you to the words, actions, and reactions you must respond positively You must refuse to let the unavoidable difficulties and setbacks of daily life affect your mood or emotions
